Connect BambooHR
Scout connects to BambooHR with your company domain and an API key a BambooHR user creates. It pulls jobs, with their careers-page descriptions, pipeline stages, candidates and resumes.
Before you start
- You’re a Scout admin.
- You can sign in to BambooHR as a user with access to Hiring. The API key gets that user’s permissions.
What you’ll need#
Company domain + API key.
Get your credentials from BambooHR#
Sign in to BambooHR as a user with access to Hiring.
Click your name (lower left), then API Keys.
Add a new key and copy it.
Note your company domain: the part before .bamboohr.com in your account’s web address. For example, acme in acme.bamboohr.com.
Connect in Scout#
Open Integrations, then click Connect beside BambooHR.
Enter your company domain in Company domain and paste the key into API key.
- Pasting your whole BambooHR address works too: Scout keeps just the domain.
Check the Label and Region.
- Label: a name for this connection. It starts as the ATS’s own name.
- Region: the country Scout assumes for a candidate’s phone number when the number has no country code of its own.
Click Connect BambooHR.
ResultBambooHR appears under Your connections as Syncing, and its jobs start arriving in Jobs.
What syncs#
Jobs with their careers-page descriptions, pipeline stages, candidates and resumes. Candidates and resumes come in for the jobs you assign to a workflow. See How syncing works.
Write-back#
Scout doesn’t write screening results back to BambooHR. The connect form says so: “Nothing is written back to BambooHR.” Review results in Scout. See Review a screening call.
